Klaus
Racing was founded in 1996 to challenge the 1997 Red River Speedway
Sportsman class in Wichita Falls,Tx.
Based in Hurst, Tx., the team now has a fully equipped race shop with fabrication
and engine building capabilities. While funding has been an influential
factor in the teams racing schedule, we finished in the top 10 in points
3 of 5 years with 2 wins and many top 5 race finishes at Red River Speedway
and Sooner International Raceway. 2001 saw the team finish 7th in points
at Red River Speedway, with an 8th place finish in the North Texas Asphalt
Championships. The #66 car also placed in points the Thunder Hill Raceway
in 2001 with starts in 2 races.
Klaus Racing was not able to compete in the 2002 race season, although we
had planned a limited schedule with the ROMCO Super Late Model Series. In
response to a challenging economic climate, the decision was made by Klaus
Racing and its sponsors to fore go the 2002 season in order to keep the
home fires burning! Priorities!
This year - Klaus Racing plans to challenge the 2003 ROMCO Super Late Model
series in earnest with 13 scheduled events including the Texas Motor Speedway
race in April and the Big Shot 250 in November. Improvements planned for
the racecar this year include adding a dry sump oil system to improve engine
performance and the addition of a traction control device (new to the ROMCO
rules for the 2003 season). We anticipate the March 15 season opener in
Houston, Texas. Stay in touch with Klausracing.com to follow our progress
throughout the season! |
